Retinol is a magical ingredient. It can fade pigmentation, reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, reduce acne breakouts and heal blemish marks.

But you cannot just jumps straight into using retinol, you need to introduce it to your skin

who is retinol good for?

Most skin will benefit from retinol, retinol basically heals damage in the skin. It will speed up cell turnover and creates a boost of collagen. Ageing, pigmented and acne skins are best for retinol

when should I use it?

retinol should only be used at night, and washed off in the morning. retinol can make you sensitive to the sun while it’s on the skin, so it’s important that it is only used as apart of your night skin routine, cleansed off in the morning and SPF applied

can I use it every day?

it is recommended to slowly introduce retinol into your skin, start off with twice a week for the first month, leading up to 4 nights per week or every second night for severe skin conditions. Your skin will get used to retinol, so buy not using it every night will give your skin a chance to miss out and it will kick back in the next time you use it. Using retinol every single day can lead to skin irritation and never use your retinol on your exfoliation day or days when you get waxing or facials

is there anything else I should use with my retinol ?
